🌱 About Agri Investment Fund
Agri Investment Fund (AIF) is the private equity and venture capital fund within the Boerenbond group. We invest in sustainable and innovative solutions that contribute to a resilient future for agriculture and horticulture.
We are a small, specialized team that manages high-quality investment cases and supports entrepreneurs with both capital and expertise. We seek companies that advance the sector through scalable and sustainable technologies.
Our investments focus on three key areas within the agri-industry:
- Biotechnological solutions such as new crop protection products, breeding technologies, and animal health innovations
- Mechanical innovations such as robotics and precision agriculture
- Software solutions such as AI applications and farm management systems
👤 Who are we looking for?
A driven Investment Manager with a scientific background (e.g. biotechnology, engineering) and experience in financial analysis, business operations, or legal documentation — and above all, a genuine passion for agriculture.
🧠 Your profile
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the agri-industry in a role related to innovation or agronomy
- Experience in venture capital, private equity, or M&A is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and motivation to manage cases from A to Z
- Language skills: Dutch and English are required; other languages are a plus
- Independent, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Comfortable working in a small, flat organizational structure without hierarchical barriers
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
💼 Your responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in AgTech and Agro-Food
- Conduct due diligence across a wide range of domains (technical, scientific, legal, financial, etc.)
- Monitor portfolio companies and actively contribute to their growth
- Collaborate with internal and external partners within the AIF network
