Scale it Agro by Start it @KBC has announced the companies selected for its 2026 cohort, marking the launch of the second cohort of the programme and bringing together a strong group of agri‑tech scale-ups ready to take the next step in commercial scaling.
Building on the positive momentum of the first cohort, Agri Investment Fund (AIF), together with Arvesta, Boerenbond, Cera, KBC Bank & Verzekering and Start it @KBC, continues to offer its active supports to the newly selected cohort in turning promising innovation into real‑world impact across the agricultural value chain.
Scale it Agro focuses on one of the sector’s key challenges: commercial upscaling. While many agri-tech solutions demonstrate strong technical potential, achieving real-world adoption by farmers remains complex. The programme is designed to support scale-ups in sharpening their go-to-market strategy, strengthening customer traction and accelerating business development within the agricultural ecosystem.
Meet the Scale it Agro Cohort 2026
The 2026 cohort brings together ten companies addressing critical challenges across emissions reduction, precision agriculture, data-driven farming, and sustainable production systems:
- Circlair develops circular air-cleaning solutions for intensive livestock farms. Its technological wet scrubbers remove over 95% of ammonia and more than 70% of odors, while significantly reducing water use. Captured ammonia is converted into concentrated, reusable fertilizer, offering farmers an economically and environmentally sustainable solution for clean air compliance.
- Cordon Technologies enables farmers to significantly reduce pesticide and fertiliser foliar inputs through the Cordon Loop. This precision spraying system allows farmers to tailor spray mixtures to the needs of each block, row or individual plant, improving efficiency while lowering chemical use.
- Crodeon Technologies makes remote sensor data accessible to companies of all sizes. With off-the-shelf, end-to-end technology, any sensor can be connected and made live anywhere in the world within minutes, eliminating complexity in remote data collection and monitoring.
- FibriTech has invented a next-generation, spatial biomaterial with programmable properties. In horticulture, its FibriAgri substrate replaces peat and peat alternatives with a high-performance, sustainable growing medium designed for modern production systems.
- FLOX provides an agentic AI for poultry production, combining real-time computer vision (including bird weights and anomaly detection) with supply-chain data. The platform proactively supports productivity, animal health and welfare decisions for large-scale poultry integrators operating in increasingly regulated and sustainability-driven markets.
- Funghii (Heliovision) helps commercial mushroom growers increase yield and reduce labour costs by continuously monitoring crop growth using AI-powered vision. By translating invisible growth signals into actionable insights, growers know exactly when to intervene and harvest.
- Bot accelerates the transition to sustainable agriculture with autonomous weeding robots. By offering a scalable alternative to manual weeding, Odd.Bot helps conventional farmers reduce chemical inputs while maintaining productivity.
- Optiflux supports fruit growers, packers and traders in reducing waste and margin loss caused by subjective and inconsistent quality assessment. Its AI-driven platform makes fruit quality measurable, predictable and actionable, improving price realisation, shelf life and overall supply chain performance.
- Roamsilicon develops high-quality, silicon-based biostimulants that enhance crop resilience and protect against abiotic stress. The products reduce chemical inputs while improving crop quality and yield.
- S&dB provides a simple, robust and cost-effective sowing system that delivers precision in all field conditions, providing a gateway to regenerative farming practices. Improving the financial return per hectare, whilst restoring the natural capabilities of the soil.
