Agri Investment Fund (“AIF”) invests 0.5 million euro in VOCSens, a Belgian deeptech company specialized in multi-gas sensing. With this investment, AIF supports the further development and scaling of VOCSens’ innovative ammonia detection technology, aimed at improving emission management in livestock farming.
AIF investment accelerates market access and scaling for VOCSens
The investment of AIF marks a strong vote of confidence in VOCSens’ mission to deliver next-generation gas sensing solutions that serve both environmental sustainability and economic efficiency, starting with the agricultural sector. Thanks to the support of AIF, which complements the earlier commitments from the existing investors, the company will accelerate the industrialization of its ammonia sensing technology, enabling large-scale deployment on livestock farms to better manage emissions, improving animal welfare and supporting farmers in meeting future regulations.

Advanced sensor technology for emission management in agriculture
VOCSens designs and develops highly integrated, precise, and cost-efficient multi-gas sensor modules that monitor air quality and gas emissions in real time, making it uniquely suited for demanding sectors like agriculture. Ammonia is one of the most pressing environmental concerns in livestock farming, impacting both the environment but also farming business.
With VOCSens’ technology, farmers gain access to continuous, accurate data they can act on, without expensive sensor infrastructure or maintenance burdens. While agriculture is a key focus, VOCSens is also deploying its multi-gas sensing platform in other strategic markets such as smart buildings (ventilation, safety) and automotive (thermal runaway detection, cabin air quality), where compact, high-performance gas monitoring is increasingly in demand.
