Veiling Haspengouw, Univeg and AIF have signed a partnership agreement

On May 27th 2015 the Boards of Directors of Veiling Haspengouw, UNIVEG and AIF have announced that they were investigating an intense sort of commercial partnership.  Today, just before the start of the new hard fruit season, Veiling Haspengouw, UNIVEG and AIF have officially signed the agreement for their future partnership.

In the new structure Veiling Haspengouw continues to exist as a cooperation and moreover will be strengthened by the extension of the sales channels.  UNIVEG will participate in 2 subsidiaries of Veiling Haspengouw, i.e. H-Fruit and H-Pack.  H-Fruit will be, more than ever, the sales organisation of all hard and soft fruit of the fruit growers, member of Veiling Haspengouw.  H-Pack is the sorting and packing station of the auction, and is one of the most modern in Europe.  Furthermore, a reinforcement to lead these 2 subsidiaries has been found with Carlo Franssen.  H-Fruit and H-Pack enlarge their commercial strength by this partnership.  The project can count on the financial support of AIF, the investment fund of Group Boerenbond, as it strengthens the position of the Belgian fruit grower and facilitates a market driven production.  The collaboration between the partners is consistent with the CMO regulation and had been approved by the CMO Authority.  Furthermore, the project has received the approval of the Competition Authority and EFC, the cooperation between Veiling Haspengouw, the Koninklijke Fruitmasters Groep from The Netherlands and WOG Raiffeisen e.G. from South-Germany.

Veiling Haspengouw is ready for the new season!  After a succesful cherries' season, the professionalization of the auction market continued during the preparation for the hard fruit season.  The timing for the partnership between Veiling Haspengouw and UNIVEG comes at the right time.
